CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Hot A 90/60

HOT A 90 is our signature Absolute Hot Yoga class of 90 minutes consisting of 50 classic hatha yoga poses practiced in a room heated to 40 degrees Celsius. You practice pose-by-pose, using static poses practice in a mirror to learn proper alignment. HOT A 60 is a more condensed version in 60 minutes, with all the benefits, just in a shorter period of time.

Hot B 90/60

HOT B 90 is the Classic Hot Yoga series of 90 minutes consisting of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 40 degrees Celsius. Each pose is practiced 2x so you can see your progress right away. HOT B 60 is a more condensed version in 60 minutes, with all the benefits, just in a shorter period of time.

Flow 90/60

Flow: In this dynamic style of yoga (vinyasa/power) in either 60 or 90 minutes, you flow from pose-to-pose moving through sun salutations, standing poses, seated practices and balancing postures. Practiced in a normal temperature studio, you generate your own heat through practice.

Hot Flow 90/60

Hot Flow: A dynamic sequence of yoga postures (45-50) in either 60 or 90 minutes practiced in a warm room. The series is designed for all levels, combining postures and breath with fluid movement.

Absolute Fit

Absolute Fit is a new style of hot yoga unlike any other taught at Absolute Yoga incorporating a fitness element to classes to tone and firm up the body using yoga postures. Sequences have been specifically designed to target different areas of the body: Butt & Thighs and Whole Body. A class of 60 minutes.

Pilates

Pilates (Hot Pilates & Power Pilates): A beautiful, strong & long body posture is one of the goals of our Pilates classes. Pilates is the art of controlled movement. It improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the whole body. It emphasises alignment, breathing and developing a strong core, while improving coordination and balance. Pilates comes in two flavours at Absolute Yoga Amsterdam; Hot Pilates is an invigorating cardio workout whereas Power Pilates is more about building strength.

Sunrise Class

Sunrise Class: Experience the beauty of an energetic start of the week with this special Sunrise Class. It is a 75 minute Hot Yoga Class with a combination of Hot A 60, Sun Salutations to welcome the sun in you and practicing mindfulness to create the week you desire. Join this special class only given bi-weekly and feel how this class will empower you!

Yin

Yin: – Opposed to the more active muscular Yang yoga styles we offer, Yin Yoga is a passive practice, aimed at stretching the deeper laying connective tissues, mostly in seated and supine postures, generally held for 3 to 5 minutes. This concentration on stillness of body and mind can lead to a deep relaxation and a calm and clear awareness.
